Past Simple. How to use it?

Let's review what we worked on last week in class: the ‘Past Simple’.

We can use Past Simple to talk about things we did in the past.

How to use it?

  • Regular verbs → the past simple ending is -ed, for example:
         walk - walked
         play - played
         like - liked

  • Irregular verbs → there is a special past simple form, for example:
         go - went
         have - had
         make - made
         see - saw

  • Negatives We use didn't + verb, but don't change the verb to the past form. For example:
          I didn't like the food.
         We didn't see elephants.

Now, let's practice! 😎
